February Newsletter
February is known as the month of love – due to the celebration of Valentines. This year it is also the month of the Super Bowl: February 11. Many people have been manipulated in the name of love – and as a result, they become victims of sex trafficking. If you’d like to understand more about the scope of trafficking at this huge event, read this article: Spotlight: Human Trafficking and the Super Bowl – Agape International Missions (aimfree.org) We have shipped over 50 Hope Bags to Las Vegas for use around the various outreaches happening there. May each Bag be a sign of Hope to the survivors offered a way out of “the life.” (We’ve shipped over 140 Hope Bags already this year – we’re so very grateful for all who help us collect the right, new products for them! Please see below for our most needed items list.) A legal case recently in Colorado Springs resulted in one pimp being found guilty of 3 charges; we trust that the sentencing (in a few months) will be just. We’re still compiling our Annual Impact Report for 2023 and hope to be able to share it with you soon. Just a glimpse at our numbers: 46% of our budget went into the Hope Bag/Stocking program, 36% was invested in our Survivor Care program, and 18% was used to support our administration/fundraising. We are looking forward to helping even more Survivors find Hope in 2024. |
May you remember on Valentine’s Day, and every day, that you are loved. |
Blessings, |
